Rainbow Children’s Medicare to acquire majority stake in Guwahati’s Pratiksha Hospital for Rs. 171 crore

Rainbow Children’s Medicare Limited (RCML) has announced plans to acquire a majority stake in the hospital, marking its entry into Assam and the Northeast. The addition will increase RCML’s capacity by 150 beds, taking its total to around 2,185 beds across 21 hospitals in eight cities.

The transaction values Pratiksha Hospital at approximately INR 171 crore and will be funded through RCML’s cash reserves and internal accruals. Under the agreement, RCML will acquire a 76% stake, with the remaining share held by Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma, Founder & Chairman, Pratiksha Hospital, and his family. Following completion, the hospital will operate under the name ‘Pratiksha Rainbow Children’s Hospital’ and be incorporated into RCML’s network, with unified processes and connections to its hubs in Hyderabad, New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai for pediatric and maternal care services.
